Brilliant, the landlord and staff couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. Clean room and good breakfast which made it excellent value for money. And the landlord gave us a lift to St Austall in the morning! Highly recommended.

Nice hotel with friendly staff, a cozy bar/lounge area, and free Wi-Fi. I remember how the staff helped me at night when I had a problem with my room. I highly recommend it! I'm coming back for a city break.

Consider bringing earplugs for better sleep, as traffic noise can be quite disruptive at night.

Comfortable good foodand pleasent staff
We were very disappointed that we were not told that there was a band night on the Sunday we stayed. We had hundreds of miles to travel the next day had to get up at 6am but were kept awake 'till about mid night. Traveling when tired is dangerous.

generous hallway, lovely Cornish stone, dog-friendly environment
Public carpark space limits during peak times!!! Signs of dust and neglect in the rooms, perhaps a little attention to bathroom privacy is necessary!!!

Recommend it for anyone looking for a cozy pub stay
We stayed for one night. The bed was comfy and the room was clean and tidy. The food was really good too, great portions and cooked to perfection, a highlight of our stay.
It wasn't exactly a bargain but still acceptable.

Clean room, friendly staff. Attention to detail (shampoo, shower gel, biscuits provided).
I disliked the fact that the Sunday night band didn't stop playing until 11.40pm. We had to be up at 7am, and this combined with the hot weather did not create a great impression unfortunately. Otherwise it was fine.
